So you want to get on our IRC channel and chat with us? You can use our new IRC web client which is located at the bottom of this page, or you can download an IRC program and run it directly from your computer. If you are going to download an IRC program to your computer you should visit our downloads page which has two IRC clients on it. If you'd rather just use the web client, just enter a nickname and click connect.
If you decide to use Chatzilla, you can connect the easy way by clicking this link: irc://quakenet/DigitalEmpire And that's all you'll have to do.
Next, you'll want to join the QuakeNet IRC network. In Chatzilla, once you open up the program you will see a few IRC network links there, QuakeNet being one of them. Click on QuakeNet to connect to QuakeNet.
Now, you are on QuakeNet. From here all you have to do is join the IRC channel. Type the following command into Chatzilla, "/join #digitalempire" (do not type the quotation marks) and you'll be connectd to our IRC channel.
You are not required to register your username but you may choose to do so if you want. To register your username, type the following command (again with no quotation marks) "/msg q hello youremailaddress@email.com youremailaddress@email.com". It is important that you enter your own email address corectly twice, otherwise it won't work.
